The wine station
All aboard the wine train!
All aboard a magical journey into the original village station and discover a world dedicated to the railway.
The train played a vital role in the commercialisation of wine.
The tiny station of Romaneche-Thorins, just opposite the wine theme park, meant that wines from the Beaujolais could travel to Paris.
Now part of the Hameau Dubœuf estate, the station houses an exhibition on wine rail transport, reproduction miniature trains and a collection of train lanterns that are sure to delight train fans!
There is also a magnificent, rare Imperial carriage that was given to Napoleon III by the Compagnie du Nord.
The wine station is open from Wednesday to Sunday with the Hameau-Station-Garden Pass or the Hameau-Station Pass..
